The sculpture tells the story of Matariki – the Pleiades star cluster – and the significance of the Waikato River.
The work overlooks the Waikato River and stands 6.8-metres tall.
The development of the interactive sculpture was led by Wintec tutor Joe Citizen. A soundtrack and interactive lighting responds to environmental, seasonal and lunar changes.
