Due to exponential growth and demand, Aware Group is expanding our New Zealand operations with the addition of a dedicated Wellington office and local team.
We’ve been producing innovative AI and Cloud Data solutions for some of the world’s largest organisations for years, and with another office being added to our network, our ability to serve both existing and new clients will be further strengthened.
We recognize that as a growing company, we need to place a heavier focus on our customers and how accessible we are to them. Our CEO, Brandon Hutcheson, stated well the importance of branching out to new areas and allowing our customers the ease of access they deserve: “With the increase in public sector spend on innovation as well as trialing of emerging technologies, we have recognised the strategic importance of being local and investing more into the customer experience. While Covid may have pushed more and more companies to work remotely, there is still a human component that can only be represented when in person.”
The Wellington team will be an extension of our existing teams in Hamilton, Singapore, and Seattle, with a sales function that will be primarily focused on supporting our Public Sector and Government customers. The location really couldn’t be better; located at 119 Featherston Street, the team will be situated right in the middle of Wellington Central, and less than a 5-minute walk from Microsoft Wellington – giving us easy access to one of our most vital partners.
We would like to get the new team up and running as soon as we can! The office is due to have a soft opening on October 18, 2021, with a grand opening to follow. However, we’re hoping to have our new team members start on October 4 so that they can spend their first two weeks of employment in our Hamilton head office – allowing them to get to know the team, see how we work, and understand our culture and the company as a whole.
There will be a range of positions that will join our technical/development services, project delivery, and commercial teams. These teams are made up of a mix of Data Platform, Data Science, IoT Engineering, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Account Management, and Project Management roles.
If you think you’d be interested in working for a leading AI and Cloud Data company, serving some of New Zealand and the Asia Pacific’s most important organisations, we would love to hear from you. We need experienced, dedicated, talented people to help get our new office off to a strong start. So if that sounds like you, please reach out to Jo Mickleson, our Director of Strategy and Growth, at [email protected] with your CV and a bit about what you think you can contribute to the team.
